If you make a check with {{{use}}} then you do so with an additional +{{{n}}} bonus. This is referred to as being {{{reference}}}. If a check would have {{{use}}} from multiple sources, then it still only gains the +{{{n}}} bonus once. However, {{{reference}}} stacks with other bonuses, such as those granted by proficiency or fluency.
