Core:Difficulty Class

From Teriock

A difficulty class (or DC) is a numerical threshold that a 1d20 roll such as a feat save, tradecraft check, or resistance save is made against. If the value of the roll is greater than or equal to its DC, then the roll succeeds. If it is less than the DC, it fails. In some cases, there may be critical successes or critical failures depending on the exact value rolled and the type of roll being made. The GM may also decide that some rolls don't have one single threshold that must be passed and could instead have some gradation depending on how much the DC is passed or failed by.
